The third annual Out Behind the Barn is coming up on Saturday, September 28 and we’re inviting you and your friends to enjoy a night of fun at The Gathering Barn at Akron Acres. In addition to live music from local Buffalo band Blood Money, the evening will feature This Little Pig servin’ up its delicious Southern-style barbecue, beer and wine will also be available for purchase. Plus, your first beverage is included with your ticket!
And what’s a visit to the farm without a hayride? Tickets include a sunset hayride, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing ride around the field behind the barn.
Proceeds from the event support will help support The Cornerstone at The Buffalo City Mission.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the country band, Blood Money, will perform in the barn from 7 to 10:30 p.m. A 50/50 raffle will also be taking place throughout the night.
We are also offering $500 corporate sponsorship table packages, with seating and unlimited beer and wine for 10 people. Email laura@akronacres.com to learn more.
This is a 21+ only event; children and anyone under 21 will not be admitted. ID required. The event is rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable. The band will perform indoors with plenty of indoor and outdoor space available. No tickets will be available at the door and no outside food or beverage is allowed.
This year’s organization of event proceeds is Buffalo City Mission’s Women and Children’s Shelter, Cornerstone Manor, a place that not only provides food and shelter to those and need but also a safe haven for which women and children can have the opportunity to transition safely and successfully through the Mission’s Transitional Housing Program.
“From the moment an individual walks through our doors, we offer loving acceptance, acknowledging the worth and dignity of each person as a valued child of God,” it states on Cornerstone’s website. “Often, it’s the first time they have been treated with deep, honest respect … it’s a healthy pathway for building a promising future.”
